Heat Shrink PET/HS Mylar®
Heat Shrinkable Polyester Film will shrink into place when subjected to temperatures up to 302ºF/150ºC by any conventional form of heating apparatus such as an oven, shrink tunnel or heat gun. The polyester film allows for a secure fit onto components as small as .020”/.508mm in diameter while providing the same dielectric and heat characteristics as the non-shrink polyester film. One of the advantages to using a shrinkable polyester film for insulating material is that even after it has been shrunk onto a component, it is able to move, twisting and bending as necessary without exposing the insulated product. This elasticity, coupled with its high temperature rating makes it an ideal product of choice for cable and wire assemblies.
